Elise has been involved with Irish dancing for over 20 years. She competed at an elite level with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha, travelled extensively to compete and perform, and is now a qualified teacher. Elise is a media strategy executive with a passion for writing, great storytelling, and social media. She also has an incredible ability to recall every step of every set dance, reel, and hornpipe she ever did. Fun fact: As a child, Elise mimed the Riverdance song during a performance at the Sydney Opera House, causing several Australian celebrities to compliment her on her wonderful singing voice. She has never lived it down.
Louise has also been involved with Irish dancing for over 20 years. She competed and performed internationally before gaining her teacher qualification with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha. By day, Louise is a television marketing executive with a background in film and television production. By night, she teaches dancing with an established school in Sydney. Fun fact: Louise was the 2010 Sydney Rose of Tralee, and performed Irish dancing to the famous Men At Work song ‘Down Under’ during the live broadcast of the finals. She has also never lived it down.
Together Elise and Louise edited and published the highly successful book Parade of Champions – Inspiration For The Irish Dancer. If you have ever wondered if it is possible to co-edit and publish a book with someone who lives on the opposite side of the world, it is.
